Biography

Patricia is a results-driven, well-rounded marketing and communications professional with over 20 years of experience in both corporate and entrepreneurial environments.

As a consultant since 2003, Patricia has delivered a mix of strong strategic thinking, flexibility, a client-centric focus, and the ability to implement creative, budget-conscious solutions with attention to the big picture as well as the critical details.

Patricia graduated from NYU with a degree in Journalism (Phi Beta Kappa) and earned her M.B.A. in Marketing and Management at Columbia Business School. She is currently pursuing a Certificate in Digital Media Marketing at NYU School of Professional Studies. Strategic and tactical planning; project management under tight deadlines; design of special events; development of marketing communications; and sales are all areas of agility and particular expertise. Media has been Patricia’s main focus for over 12 years; however, she has also completed projects for other businesses as well as non-profit organizations.

Before consulting, Patricia spent six years at Scholastic, Inc. She began as a Promotions Manager in book clubs, providing team leadership to writers and designers and launching creative promotions linked to children’s books and authors. She was promoted to Director to write and implement the business plan for a web-based children’s book program to be sold to corporations as a discount benefit for their employees; she managed this new business and grew its corporate client base from 30K to 1MM employees in under a year.

Before leaving Scholastic to pursue consulting, Patricia directed online initiatives to integrate the marketing of Scholastic products with direct marketing of products from the company’s newly acquired Grolier Division.

Early in her career, Patricia served as a Product Manager at Alitalia Airlines, growing low-season traffic from strategic consumer segments. While in her 20s, she was Manager of the Foreign Students Program at Accademia Internazionale di Lingue in Florence, Italy, launching a new business for the school and bringing in over 500 additional enrollments per year. Patricia is fluent in Italian and is an accomplished cook and a passionate foodie.
